VIDEO – The DK Cup 2019 Team Announcement & Player Walk-Outs

The team sheets have been handed in. The 18th June saw Sean and Ian reveal the players for this year’s DK Cup and it’s great we were able to keep the teams largely the same. So a special thanks for all the  players for making their donations. If you missed the hilarious walk-out videos, you can see them in the video below.

WARNING: Safe for work….just.

Teamsheets for the big match.

Adebayo Akinfenwa Backs Mos Eisley for DK Cup 2019 Win

There’s been lots of discussion of late on who will be victorious at this year’s DK Cup. Mos Eisley FC will still feel an injustice to the manner of last year’s loss, best described like “one of those games on Football Manager – 100 shots and you still lose”. Ace Squad will say it was a classic case of smash and grab.

A few weeks ago, it turns out Jimmy Bullard himself was backing Ace Squad for the win again this year. But it seems Mos Eisley have gained a fan in none other than Adebayo Akinfenwa – the strongest player in Fifa. After hearing about the manner of last years loss, Adebayo is backing the Eisley for the win. Catch the shout out below.

Jimmy Bullard Backs Ace Squad for DK Cup 2019

It would appear that the Ace Squad hype train is in full motion. With lots of spare time on his hands in his new life in LA, PC35 has struck up an unlikely relationship with Soccer AM presenter and former England International, Jimmy Bullard. It’s fair to say that Jimmy seems extremely confident of an Ace Squad win, almost as if he was paid to say so.

BREAKING NEWS: Mos Eisley FC & Ace Squad Announcement

So here we are, only 2 weeks before the big match between Mos Eisley FC and “Ace Squad”. The press conference has come and gone, and despite Jay’s best efforts in mediating, things are heating up between the two sides already. Shots have been fired, digs have been thrown. Banter on the Facebook feed is in full flow. We have a Denis Canty, denied football for the past few years chomping at the bit to get at Ace Squad’s backline. Will he hit a hat-trick on his first appearance on English soil? We also have an over-confident Chesh a.k.a House Chesh a.k.a PC35 laughing in the faces of his opponents. But if there’s one takeaway from the live press conference, apart from Matt “Unbelievable Jeff!” de Lima asking “What’s happening (man)?”, it has to be Darren Stewart with “Sean why are you praising up the opposition your meant to be our fearless leader?” and Liam Sullivan chipping in with simply “#SEANOUT”. The Ace Squad dressing room is lost already boys. Sort it out! 😉

If you missed the video or aren’t on Facebook, you can catch a recording of the press conference below. Special thanks to Sean’s Mum for the table cloth and Britta filter.

So, here are the squads:

The First David Kingston Cup

The David Kingston cup and family fun day is the first annual charity football match in aid of The Cystic fibrosis trust and Macmillan cancer care.

David Kingston was cruelly taken away from us last year after a short, brave battle with cancer and a heroic lifelong battle with Cystic fibrosis. This day is for him, his family, his friends and anyone else affected by Cancer or Cystic fibrosis, to remember him and others and to raise as much money as we can to make sure that we stop losing people we love to these illnesses.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.

Saturday the 6th of July will see the first annual David Kingston cup and family fun day. With all proceeds from the day going to the Cystic Fybrosis Trust and Macmillan cancer support. The day will be held at Pyners Close Playing Field:
